Our Vision for 2008
In 2008, we will be announcing our plans to build a more effective national headquarters for this work; to launch a significant campaign to help American Christians remember the rich treasure trove of wisdom and mercies bestowed on the Christian family as a result of five hundred years of Reformation heritage; and to produce important resources which will help fathers be more effective in the discipleship of their families. All this is in addition to our other ongoing projects and signature events designed to encourage Christian families.
Specific Needs & Support Opportunities
New Staff and Planning Giving
To accomplish this mission, we have placed two specific needs before the Lord. First, we critically need to hire more staff. For several years now, the Lord has allowed Vision Forum Ministries to have a maximum impact with a small staff on a very modest budget, but it is clear at this time that to be effective in the future we need to increase the size of our team and have the necessary resources to use that team to launch significant projects. Second, to wisely steward our resources (time, personnel, and finances), we need to have a responsible budget based on planned giving. Specifically, we are asking the Lord to provide for us a base of $50,000 a month in planned giving to cover our operating expenses, including new staff. This is the equivalent of 500 people donating $100 a month to this ministry.
Financially, this is the most critical time of year for Vision Forum Ministries. Sponsors and Scholarships
At Vision Forum Ministries events, registration fees are low in order to be affordable for families. Thus, we often are unable to cover the total cost of any given event through registration fees alone. And that is why we rely on sponsors and/or partners to help underwrite portions of event costs. Our Commitment to Good Stewardship
We are constantly amazed at how God meets our needs and provides just enough financial resources to allow us to continue this debt-free ministry. We take your support very seriously and believe that every penny must be wisely and strategically used to bring practical help and a message of hope to the “remnant” — to encourage those who desire to see God bring revival to the family, the church, and society. Therefore, we strive to do the very best we possibly can, to steward our resources, and make every penny stretch, to accomplish the most with what we have been entrusted. A financial oversight board, as well as in-house accounting and an outside CPA firm, all help to ensure the integrity of this ministry.
