Home School Mission to Japan

Doug Phillips meets with Japanese pastors
In March 2001, Doug Phillips joined CHEA of Japan as keynote speaker for the first-ever national Christian home school evangelism tour in the 1,600-year history of the nation. Joined by his wife and two sons, Doug preached the message of family revival, the blessing and necessity of home education, and the turning of the hearts of fathers to their families.

Under the able leadership of CHEA of Japan founder Hiro Inaba (a nationally recognized television personality), their country’s home school movement is growing and prospering. More importantly, seeds of Gospel Christianity planted in the post-War years are blossoming and growing into a thriving and dynamic Christian community hungry for family revival.

During the 2001 tour, the Japanese people demonstrated tremendous magnanimity and graciousness. The greatest blessing was their receptivity to messages from God’s Word. Hundreds of Japanese gathered in cities as diverse as Sendai, Kyoto, and Tokyo to hear the messages. Dozens of pastors attended, many of whom committed to encouraging their congregations to develop a biblical and Hebrew approach to training their children through sacrifical leadership on the part of fathers and distinctively Christian home education.
Please remember Hiro, CHEA of Japan, the pastors, and all the precious believers who home educate in Japan.
