What to Wear:
This time of year in New England is definitely coat weather. Make sure you have clothing that will keep you warm and dry should it rain. As with all Vision Forum Ministry family trips, we do require that modest and appropriate clothing be worn by women and men. Also, in order to maintain a great witness wherever we go and to be an encouragement to the families on the trip, all facial piercings are prohibited for men and women and ear-rings are prohibited for men. Women may wear ear-rings.
What to Bring:
Please understand that there is a lot of walking that takes place while on the tour. We will also be outside the majority of the time on some of the days. Therefore, we highly recommend that each family bring the following items in order to enhance your enjoyment of the tour. We would suggest that you wear layered clothing as we will be transferring from the outside environment to inside venues quite often on some days.
- Warm winter coat
- Winter accessories: Scarf, cap, ear warmers, gloves.
- Umbrella
- Warm under garments
- Water containers - such as those you would use for hiking. Make sure they can be hung over your shoulder or clipped onto your belt for easier transporting. You can refill the bottles periodically during the day. Vision Forum Ministries will provide drinks during lunch but we will not have extra water during the day.
- Strollers for young children. Again, we want to stress that we will be walking quite a bit during the tour so we encourage you to bring strollers for younger children. We will give you instructions each day concerning the use of strollers.
- Snacks for younger children. Many of the venues will have snack areas or vending machines, but we would encourage each family to bring snacks especially for younger children.
- Diaper bags
- Cash. Many venues and restaurants will not accept credit cards.
- Cameras
- Video Cameras
- Notebooks to take notes with.
Meals
Each attendee will be responsible for their own meals during the Tour. Vision Forum Ministries will provide the following meals:
- Welcome Dinner - Monday night, November 19
- Thanksgiving Dinner with the Pilgrims - Tuesday night, November 20
- Thanksgiving Day lunch - Thursday, November 22
- Closing Dinner - Monday night, November 26
- Lunch and a drink will be provided starting on Tuesday, November 20 and ending on Monday, November 26 unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
