VI. Criteria for Judging
A five-point criteria for judging biblically-sound business plans:
The business must affirm biblical standards. The business plan must acknowledge the authority of God’s Word in design as well as intent.
The business must build progressive freedom for the owners so they can invest that freedom in the shepherding of family, church, and community. Demanding businesses must grow in ways that make owners more free, not less (I Corinthians 7:22-23). The freedom men attain by wise entrepreneurship can then be invested in shepherding others to positions of greater maturity and responsibility.
The business must practically extend Christian culture, acknowledging God’s sovereignty over all (Psalm 24:1). There is nobility in man’s earthly vocational work, but wise stewards will be involved in activity that is eternally profitable as well. Business strategies will not only seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), but will measurably advance Christian culture in their application.
The business must have a biblical structure for employee protection and discipling. Employees and their families must benefit from more than wage compensation. No employee duties should stand in the way of progressive sanctification, order, and piety in family and professional development. Rather, employee involvement in a Christ-centered business should offer discipling opportunities that train employees to greater effectiveness to serve as freemen in Christ.
The business must have a good profit maintenance ratio. Christ-honoring businesses will return healthy profits with minimal management demands.

The following prizes will be awarded at the Entrepreneurial Bootcamp on the final day of the event:
- First Place for Adult Competition - $5,000
